How films are made
Pre-Production
- Basic concept of script and story board is made
- The script is broken down into individual scenes
- Location is revealed
- Cast members are notified
- Costumes and props are identified
- Schedule is produced and arrangements are made for necessary elements and times
- Sets are constructed
- Crew is hired
- Video editing the picture of a television program using an edit decision list
- Writing, (re)recording, and editing the soundtrack.
- Adding visual special effects - mainly computer-generated imagery
- Sound design, Sound effects, ADR, Foley and Music, culminating in a process known as sound re-recording or mixing with professional audio equipment.
- Transfer of Color motion picture film to Video
Production is where the cast and crew get to work. It is the most practical side of the three stages. It is when the planning turns into reality. When the storyboards come alive. The cinematographers get to work and attempt to get the directors vision onto the camera. The actors act at their best abilities to make the film realistic and phenomenal.
